The
Sulphate Reducing Bacteria check is a culture test for sulphate-reducing
bacteria. The SRB Kit facilitates the formation of a black metallic
film on the culture bottle which reflects the presence of SRB. Only
one bottle per test determines the number of SRB in a liquid sample
or a deposit.
The
Sulphate Reducing Bacteria check will detect currently known SRB,
will not react to facultative Pseudomonads and will not give a false
positive.
The
SRB Check Kit is available in three different types: for low 'Total
Dissolved Solids' samples (100-10,000 mg/L), for medium TDS samples
(10,000 - 100,000 mg/L), and for high TDS samples (100,000+mg/L).
Each Kit contains 10 injectable bottles, syringes, needles, labels
and instructions.
- Detects most species of SRB’sand detects only SRB’s
- An oxygen scavenger is included in the medium (solid samples and oxygenated samples may be evaluated)
- Only need one bottle per test no serial dilutions - SRB’sare estimated by reaction time
- No interpretation - A positive reaction is shown by a black film
- No false positives - The presence of H2S will not give a positive. Facultative Pseudomonad's will not react
- Supplied in kits of 10 bottles, includes syringes
